Reeder 5 Newsreader
As the day begins, I like to sit down with my coffee and read the latest news that I can use for articles or blog posts that I am working on for a client. To my astonishment, I have found that Reeder 5 newsreader is a superb way to get your daily news.
What Is Reeder 5 Newsreader
Reeder 5 has a host of features that will help you with your daily reading. Be rewarded with the Reeder, RSS reader, and read later clients that have support with the iCloud.syncing. Enjoy a new reading experience on the Mac, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Are you curious as to what the features are? Let’s take a look.
iCloud Feeds
According to reeder.app, you can sync all your feeds and articles with iCloud. Reeder 5 has its own built-in RSS/Feeds service. Don’t worry; you can sync across all of your devices without having this as a requirement. You can also use the wide variety of third-party services that Reeder 5 supports.
iCloud Read Later
You are busy, especially if you need to do any amount of writing. The newsreader lets you read later, an option that stores all your gatherings securely in the iCloud. You can rest assured that you can add links, not only from Reeder but also outside of Reeder on iOS and macOS.
Bionic Reading
Bionic Reading is a unique feature that takes you into a higher dimension of reading. With this feature, your eye picks up words effortlessly and effectively with what is called typographic highlights. The Bionic Reading choice is characterized by a specific interaction of the parameters “Fixation” and “Saccade,” allowing you more flexibility, more focus, and fewer roadblocks to reading pleasure.
Widgets
I’m sorry, Mac users. The widgets feature is not available on the Mac yet. iOS owners can view recent articles and configure their settings to specify items from feeds, folders, searches (for services that allow searching), or tags contained in the read later services.
Mark As Read
Grab onto your hats. Reader 5 newsreader permits you to scroll and mark items as read at the same time. You will need to turn this feature on, however, as it’s defaulted to off.
Reader View
Reeder is so versatile that it gives you a clutter-free environment right in the article viewer. It’s easy to enable “Automatic Reader View” on a per-feed basis so you can load items within your feed with Reader View.
Are you wondering what Reeder 5 Newsreader supports third-party services? Let me list them out for you here:
• Feedbin
• Feedly
• Feed Wrangler
• FeedHQ
• NewsBlur
• The Old Reader
• Inoreader
• BazQux Reader
• FreshRSS
• Instapaper
• Pocket
Reeder 5 has everything in an eye-pleasing format. Plus, websites that you have RSS feeds for can be put into specific folders. Personally, I really enjoy this application. I was a person that started with Pocket and then Instapaper. But Reeder 5 far organizes provincially everything I need pertaining to catching articles that I like to read and all the different ways in which they are sent to people.
I thought it was interesting that David Sparks at MACSPARKY has tried multiple newsreaders but is switching over to Reeder 5. The one drawback he mentions is, “Reeder doesn’t display the articles as nicely as my previous RSS reader, Unread. Unread has more options for color schemes and designs for the article view.”
